Built from publicly disclosed 2009 and 2010 revenue data from 278 firms with French revenues of more than $1 billion, the model finds that sustainable business spend will grow from $6 billion in 2011 to $9.7 billion in 2015. Between 2010 and 2015, France sustainable business expenditure will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 11%. Growth in spending is driven by increasingly stringent national and European regulations, such as the Grenelle II and the EU ETS Phase 3, and oil and electricity price increases.
