Executive Summary

This report contains an extract of the Verdantix analysis of the industrial hygiene and occupational health capabilities of 23 environment, health and safety (EHS) software vendors. This analysis originally was produced in the 2019 version of the Verdantix Green Quadrant for EHS software (see Verdantix Green Quadrant EHS Software 2019). To help senior EHS executives identify the best-fit software, this software benchmark provides a detailed analysis of capabilities available from these vendors across 17 assessment criteria. It is important to note that, since significant time has passed since Verdantix conducted the Green Quadrant assessment, corporate buyers should closely evaluate optional software platforms for their IH/OH capabilities and the potential link to the specific needs of one’s own firm. This report finds that three software vendors—Cority, Intelex and ProcessMAP—have the broadest and deepest functionalities for integrated EHS, IH and OH data management. To ensure maximum benefits, buyers should assess a vendor’s track record for IoT integration of IH and OH devices as well as involve IH and OH colleagues in the selection, evaluation and adoption of an EHS software solution.
