Verdantix Launches Sustainability Council to Unite Industry Peers And Drive Innovation And Collaboration

London, UK. Verdantix, the independent research firm, today announced the launch of its Vantage Sustainability Council, the second in the series of the Vantage Councils initiative. Tackling the most important challenges at the intersection of technology and business, the Councils programme provides a platform for collaboration and innovation, uniting top senior leaders from diverse industries and regions to facilitate the exchange of insights and best practices.

Building on over a decade of Verdantix research into sustainability, ESG and climate best practices, the Vantage Sustainability Council is a unique forum bringing together 13 influential leaders. This council helps shape Verdantix research, used by more than 1,300 corporate leaders at some of the world’s largest organizations, while also providing feedback and recommendations for solution providers to enhance the tools they rely on in their roles. The council will meet several times a year, with key findings shared exclusively with Verdantix subscribers under the Chatham House Rule.

The initial members of the Vantage Sustainability Council are:

  • Chris Guest, Director of Climate, Nature & ESG Reporting, Burberry
  • Darshana Myronidis, Group Director of Sustainability, Virgin
  • Elizabeth Spry, Global Head of Sustainability, Spirax Sarco
  • Grant Sprick, VP Climate & Environment, Ahold Delhaize
  • Isidora Díaz Heredia, Chief Sustainability & HSE Officer, Parques Reunidos

The launch of the Vantage Sustainability Council builds on the success of the inaugural Vantage Safety Council meeting, at which top safety leaders gathered to exchange insights, seek peer advice and tackle critical EHS challenges. By sharing expertise across these councils, organizations can enhance safety, advance sustainability, foster innovation and drive meaningful outcomes for all.

“Our Vantage Councils bring together industry leaders to foster collaboration and solve the most pressing challenges faced by the C-Suite. By engaging directly with these expert practitioners, we’re able to gain a better understanding of how we, and technology and services vendors can better help them achieve their goals. This helps us focus our research solutions to make sure we’re addressing both the need for detailed, granular information, while also addressing the big picture of interconnected challenges that councillors face,” said David Metcalfe, CEO of Verdantix.

In 2025, Verdantix plans to expand the Vantage Councils initiative to include additional focus areas, such as risk management, industrial asset management, and real estate and built environment. This expansion aligns with the demand from Vantage subscribers for deeper engagement with technology vendors, a need that Verdantix is uniquely positioned to fulfil.
