Verdantix EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA Finalists Announced

18 April 2023, London, UK. Leading independent research and advisory firm Verdantix has announced the 21 finalists for its EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA. The annual awards recognize outstanding achievements in EHS, ESG, Sustainability and Operations and aim to shine a spotlight on firms using technology to achieve world-enhancing results.

The 2023 awards programme includes two new categories to reward individuals who are leading the way in championing innovation and inspiring the next generation of EHS executives. The finalists span 10 categories and are as follows:

  • ESG Compliance Digitization – Ferrovial Construction and Syngenta Group
  • EHS Digital Leader – Jane Muir-Sands, IBM and Jennifer Newbury, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust

  • Environmental Impact Award – Electrolux and Novalis International
  • ESG Metrics and Reporting – Convatec and Iberdrola
  • Integrated Process Safety Management – M&S and INEOS
  • Operational Risk Management – Story Homes and Peterson
  • Safety Performance Improvement – Van Moer Logistics; ICL Group and Borealis
  • Social Impact Award – HACE: Data Changing Child Labour and the University of Birmingham
  • Worker Wellbeing and Ergonomics – Google Data Centers and Mercury

The EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA 2023 judging panel is made up of independent industry experts with extensive experience in the fields of EHS, Sustainability and Operational Excellence. Ruth Denyer, President of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management and Director of Production Safety at Netflix, brings a wealth of knowledge in risk management and safety culture. James Pomeroy, Global Health and Safety Leader and Director for Arup, has over two decades of experience in leading and transforming HSES programmes on a global scale. Together with Verdantix CEO, David Metcalfe, the panel will have the challenging task of selecting the most innovative and impactful entries as award winners. Award winners will be announced at the Verdantix EHS Summit, taking place in London, UK, on June 6th-7th, 2023.

The awards are part of an annual series of international Innovation Excellence awards hosted by Verdantix that recognize outstanding technological achievements in the fields of EHS, Sustainability, Operational Excellence, Net Zero and Climate Risk. The awards also highlight the contribution of supporting technology and consulting firms.
