  • Syngenta Group: EHS Compliance Digitization for their large-scale digital transformation project aimed at ensuring a safer and more sustainable working environment for their 53,000 employees.
  • Novalis International: Environmental Impact Award, recognizing their innovative direct QR code project that substantially reduced their environmental footprint.
  • Convatec: ESG Metrics And Reporting for their digital solution that effectively collects data for Scope 3 emissions reporting.
  • M&S: Integrated Process Safety Management for their innovative AI technological implementation that led to an 80% reduction in incidents across the warehouse floor.
  • Peterson Energy Logistics: Operational Risk Management, acknowledging their use of technology to digitize risk assessment and critical behaviours, which led to a significant saving of 700 hours per year. 
  • Jennifer Newbury at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust: EHS Digital Leader, recognizing her drive and vision for transforming health and safety management within the Trust.
  • ICL Group: Safety & Social Impact Award, commending their use of decision-based analytics and technology to build safe, reliable, sustainable and resilient operations across 50+ sites in 13 countries, demonstrating how safety improvement can be the foundation for performance excellence and generating positive social impact. 
  • Robbie Canham at Terra Firma: EHS Rising Star, honouring his successful embedding of a culture of SSHEQ into his business, acting as an enabler for business success within just 12 months.
  • Van Moer Logistics: Safety Performance Improvement for their Forklift Safety solution, which digitized frontline work and led to reduced energy consumption, lower CO2 emissions and a remarkable 70% decrease in unsafe and non-economical driving events.
  • Google Data Centers: Worker Wellbeing & Ergonomics for their project focused on protecting worker physical and mental health, uniting teams to achieve this large-scale mission.

 

In addition to the outstanding organizations that have invested in innovative projects, the awards also highlight the invaluable contributions of supporting technology and consulting firms, including 3E, Corporate Citizenship, ERM, GoArc, Pro-Sapien Software, ProtexAI, Rombit, UL Solutions and Wolters Kluwer – Enablon.

The awards ceremony took place on June 6, 2023, at Stamford Bridge stadium in London, as part of the Verdantix EHS EMEA Summit. This premier event brought together hundreds of senior leaders to exchange insights and experiences, empowering them to redefine their EHS strategies and shape the future of their businesses.
