This role is an opportunity for a strong graduate with preferred 12 months of professional experience in the Risk Management space to join a fun, fast-paced and innovative team. You will be part of an international research team analysing the impact of technology and ESG trends on the risk management space. Risk executives are increasingly being exposed to a range of emerging risks arising from ESG-related exposure including reputational, climate and third-party risks. Luckily, technology solutions and consulting providers are enabling better understanding, management and response to these challenges. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk management, the Industry Analyst will be at the forefront of risk management research. You will establish relationships across the industry, work on all aspects of market research and contribute to consulting projects. Typical clients are executives in multi-billion revenue corporates, professional services firms, technology firms and investors.

  • Educated to undergraduate level with a preference for top-tier universities. Keen to see candidates with a degree in Risk Management or Business Administration or Sustainability.
  • Ideal candidates will have preferred 12 months experience in professional services / consulting firm / analyst firm.
  • Experience in conducting research interviews and contributing to the development of research reports would be a plus.


Skills/Specific Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills internally, for face to face and telephone interviews.
  • Excellent time management skills and organisational skills.
  • Perfect written English and fluent spoken English.
  • Verifiable track record of meeting deadlines.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Interested in the impact of technology trends such as IoT, cloud platforms and mobile technologies on businesses would be beneficial.
  • World class sense of humour.


Specific Business Understanding

  • Understanding of priorities of the chief risk officer including enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, ESG risk and reputational risk. Understanding of the GRC and RMIS technology markets is a plus. 


Main Activities

  • Learning how to use research and analysis to create insightful reports for businesses.
  • Write high-quality research in English while meeting deadlines.
  • Source and conduct interviews with executives and industry experts.
  • Building quantitative models to size and forecast building technology markets.
  • Contribute to client advisory workshops and other presentations.
  • Apply and create business research methodologies.
  • Attend industry events to help raise the profile of Verdantix in the market.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and work with sales colleagues.
  • Contribute to product development in a team context.
  • Build up your profile in the industry.
