The session will explore the importance of opening up conversation between cities in different parts of the world to share how challenges have been overcome. It will look at the importance of evidence-based ‘benchmarking’ in informing city design, and of data-informed decision making in the early stages of strategic planning. It will be chaired by Dr Tim Moonen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Business of Cities and originator of the world’s largest live database of city performance benchmarks.
