Protex AI Raises $36m Series B Funding For AI-Powered Workplace Safety Solutions
Protex AI, an AI-driven workplace safety technology start-up, announced a $36 million Series B funding round, led by Hedosophia with participation from Salesforce Ventures and existing investors. This investment will enable Protex AI to enhance its AI-powered safety solutions and expand its presence in the North American market.
The funding comes at a crucial time when organizations face increasing pressure to prioritize employee safety and comply with stricter regulations. This investment reflects the growing market demand for innovative safety solutions that can proactively identify and prevent workplace incidents.
Protex AI leverages AI-enabled video analytics to transform workplace safety through real-time monitoring, risk detection and incident prevention from live camera feeds (see Verdantix Smart Innovators: Video Analytics For EHS Risk Management). Protex AI recently launched Protex Copilot, which uses GenAI to analyse visual data and provide actionable safety insights (see Verdantix Market Insight: Augmenting Computer Vision Technology With GenAI For Industrial Applications). Using AI algorithms, computer vision and GenAI, the tool has helped Marks & Spencer reduce its incident rate by 80% and improve near-miss reporting by 10% within the initial 10 weeks of implementation.
To enhance its market presence, Protex AI has established technical partnerships with major EHS software firms, including Benchmark Gensuite, Cority and Intelex. These integrations facilitate enhanced operational workflows through combined video analytics and EHS management capabilities.
