Verdantix Voyager: Announcing Our New Operating Model Running On A Market-Leading AI Architecture

29 Jul, 2026

The information services and consulting industry is on the brink of a new era, ushered in by the relentless rise of artificial intelligence. Research providers, data businesses and consulting firms alike are converging on the idea that they must deliver trusted intelligence to their clients via a new operating model that combines the best of human expertise, high-quality data and AI tools. The future of the industry is clear. Old operating models will not last beyond the next three years. Client expectations have changed dramatically. Sources of value creation have shifted. Research processes must now leverage AI tools that were not even imagined four years ago. That’s why Verdantix has launched a new operating model running on a market-leading AI architecture – designed in the context of a broader vision for how value will be created and captured going forward.

Winning And Retaining The Trust Of Our Clients Frames Our Vision For AI

Trust has always been a critical ingredient in the operating model of any research, data or consulting firm. Clients trust information and advice from external providers based on multiple factors, including depth of expertise, research rigour, output quality, accuracy of forecasts and the ability to substantiate findings during discussions. Generative AI has made trust even more important than before, for the simple reason that apparently high-quality content can now be produced at the press of a button – even if it is not grounded in facts.

In our new operating model, we have doubled down on data integrity, transparency and granularity to protect clients from the risks of ‘AI slop’. Our AI conversational search product, surfaces insights from our published reports, market models, quantitative vendor benchmarks and additional research assets, including vendor briefing notes and Council transcripts. In every AI query, clients can trace responses back to the underlying source documents.

However, source traceability alone is not sufficient. What matters more is integrity throughout the entire research process. This is where Verdantix has excelled since our founding in 2008. Professional integrity, engineered into increasingly digital research processes, is foundational to trust and underpins all value delivery. The AI model at the heart of the Voyager platform serves as the interface through which clients access these trusted data inputs.

Five Layers Deliver Enhanced Value For Clients Now And In The Future

Operating models anchored by analysts implementing manual research processes are in terminal decline. So what comes next? That was the question the executive team at Verdantix confronted in 2025 as we shaped the future strategy for our firm and contemplated the long-term outlook , ultimately, for the industry. Our conclusion is that the future combines what clients have historically valued with entirely new sources of value driven by generative AI and shifting client expectations. We articulate this vision as a new operating model built on five interconnected layers.

Expertise layer

Our research into client preferences made it clear that human-to-human interaction remains essential to deliver value. Clients continue to expect direct access to analysts and consultants: this remains a cornerstone of trust. Inquiries, workshops, strategy projects and conference presentations all have a role to play. However, expectations have evolved as personal use of AI has soared. Clients expect analysts to respond more quickly, demonstrate even deeper market knowledge than before, and, frankly, be even more insightful. Achieving this requires equipping analysts and consultants with a market-leading AI platform that delivers detailed, trustworthy insights in seconds. To be the best in the industry, analysts must be supported by a configurable, agentic AI architecture that allows them to automate research and analytical tasks whilst being confident that the outputs can be trusted. That is precisely what we have built at Verdantix.

Workflow layer

The new frontier for analyst firms lies in embedding proprietary data, insights and tools directly into client workflows. Before the widespread adoption of generative AI, this was not a major focus for innovation at research and data businesses. Clients would step outside their workflows to access research portals, download PDFs or schedule inquiry calls with analysts. The Verdantix agentic AI architecture responds directly to client demand by integrating trusted data into existing workflows through purpose-built agents, as well as new delivery mechanisms such as our MCP server offering.

For the first time, clients can automate multi-step tasks such as generating weekly competitor updates or creating detailed RFPs based on granular vendor benchmarks. Through this agentic platform, Verdantix enables clients to configure and automate processes, powered by AI models with built-in data integrity, quality and completeness guarantees.

Interaction layer

Analysts have always operated at the centre of complex market interactions, drawing insights from vendor briefings, client inquiries, informal discussions and industry events. These interactions create a rich flow of information shaped by each analyst’s network. At Verdantix, we are significantly enhancing this interaction layer.

Vendors can now opt in to have their briefings documented and incorporated into the AI model. We also include anonymized summaries from our Council meetings. In addition, we have launched our scalable solutions marketplace, Atlas, which enables practitioners across industries to quickly identify relevant products and services for their shortlists. Subscribers to our Vantage programme can query Atlas directly or use our AI conversational search to combine marketplace results with best practice subscription content.

More than 2,000 subscribing organizations already benefit from this integrated ecosystem. These digital interactions between buyers and suppliers generate proprietary insight into buyer challenges, solution needs and vendor demand. This feeds the Verdantix market interaction flywheel with an ever-increasing volume of  system-generated, proprietary insights captured on a daily – or evenly hourly – basis.

Intelligence layer

The Verdantix Voyager platform runs on a market-leading agentic AI architecture that transforms our unique research, granular datasets and curated third-party inputs into comprehensive and trusted answers to client questions. Built from the ground up – rather than layered onto a legacy content management system – the platform leverages advanced models from OpenAI on secure Azure infrastructure.

Through an AI-driven interface, the hybrid knowledge layer provides access to unstructured content, such as reports, blogs and transcripts; structured data, including all data fields in the Atlas solutions marketplace; and quantitative datasets, such as models, evaluations and surveys. The architecture is modular and extensible. An orchestration layer dynamically selects tools for search, analytics and reasoning based on the user’s query. Because these components are connected via APIs, new capabilities can be added without redesigning the system.

The platform also incorporates governance, observability and policy controls to ensure that it remains reliable as it evolves. Features such as audit logs, safety filters and usage tracking enable continuous monitoring and improvement. This intelligence layer is the core capability transforming the client experience.

Integrity layer

As we developed Voyager, the single most consistent request from clients was clear: they must be able to trust every insight and dataset delivered through the platform. This extends beyond accuracy to encompass granularity, recency and completeness.

Verdantix meets this requirement through a comprehensive redesign of research processes, integrating AI while embedding quality controls at every stage. This approach enables full source traceability within AI-generated outputs. The ability to demonstrate data quality, completeness and integrity differentiates analyst firms from generic large language models, which often carry disclaimers about potential errors. This foundation is encapsulated in our data trust model.

Looking further ahead

All research, data and advisory firms must transform their operating models. Verdantix has embarked on this journey with Voyager, setting a benchmark for the industry. Achieving this transformation requires committed leadership, significant investment in agentic AI platforms, expanded engineering capabilities and a workforce ready to adapt to new ways of working.

The industry as a whole is at the end of the beginning of this transformation. Advances in frontier AI models and agentic innovation will define the next phase – and Verdantix will continue to lead from the front.
