In October 2026, Goldman-Sachs-backed LRQA acquired Omega Compliance. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Omega Compliance is a provider of social compliance audits, supply chain security, migrant worker protection, anti-corruption and traceability services. The acquisition adds field teams across China, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Turkey, alongside a client base in key industries such as retail and apparel, and APSCA, Sedex and US Customs CTPAT credentials.

A responsible sourcing network, built one deal at a time

Omega Compliance is LRQA’s third responsible sourcing deal of 2026, after US-based International Compliance Group and Partner Africa, following earlier acquisitions of RESET Carbon in 2025, Ergon Associates in 2024 and ELEVATE in 2022. Together these acquisitions give LRQA local audit teams in most major apparel and consumer goods sourcing regions – including Turkey, a key nearshoring base for EU fashion brands.

Geopolitics increases the urgency for integrated supply chain due diligence

Geopolitical disruption and stakeholder scrutiny are strengthening the case for an integrated approach. Verdantix expects to see a retreat from multilateralism or stronger regional blocs – or both – meaning rerouted supply chains, weaker network visibility and fragmented ESG standards. With US tariffs high and enforcement on transshipment and country of origin tightening, supply chain security is converging with social compliance into one ‘supply chain integrity’ concept. Adding Omega Compliance’s CTPAT capability to its offering, LRQA can provide forced labour risk, customs security and traceability as one package to US importers.

The real prize is audit data

The Verdantix 2026 product sustainability survey found that over half of firms expect to increase spend on labour and supply chain due diligence, with regulations such as the CSDDD, EUDR and UFLPA leading buyers to favour solutions that reuse data across requirements. This could make audit data more valuable for solution providers and customers. Every Omega Compliance audit could feed into LRQA’s EiQ supply chain intelligence software, turning a ‘one-off’, low-margin compliance check into a lasting source of value. Clients will benefit from additional data for greater risk analysis coverage, enabling better-informed decision-making for processes such as site prioritization and supplier monitoring between audits. For LRQA, it creates recurring software revenue alongside one-off audit contracts.

Other audit providers model a similar ‘screen at scale, verify on site’ approach, pairing field verification with audit data and software, through:

  • In-house development.
The British Standards Institution (BSI) built its own supply chain risk platform, Connect Screen, pairing social audit results with third-party risk data to screen and monitor suppliers between site visits. Similarly, UL Solutions allows customers to initiate, scale and track audits, manage non-compliances and analyse supplier performance via its Retail Total Access digital platform.
  • Acquisitions.
QIMA acquired Recaldes, a Brazilian traceability specialist, in 2025, adding farm- and origin-level traceability – supporting EUDR compliance – to QIMA’s audit and inspection network and its QIMAone SaaS platform.
  • Partnerships.
EcoVadis has partnered with SGS and QIMA to audit sites flagged by its Worker Voice tool. TÜV SÜD runs a similar model with Prewave’s AI risk monitoring flagging suppliers for TÜV SÜD auditors to check conditions on site.

With the CSDDD and other regulations delayed but not cancelled, businesses should use this time to bring their audit, traceability and supplier data together. Buyers will favour providers that turn individual audits into integrated intelligence for continuous analysis across social, regulatory and supply chain risks. To stay competitive, services firms need to feed field verification data into digital tools for advanced analytics.
