Michel leads the Department of Justice (Canada) IWMS-CAFM initiatives in managing a medium to small Government of Canada real property portfolio as part of a National Accommodations Team. He is keen to keep informed on industry trends and participates in user groups to share and learn as a collective across Government of Canada entities.

Michel’s work includes capturing location usage, floor plan information, CAD floor plans, inventory of furniture and equipment, occupancy and vacancy rates to allow for efficient long-term facilities, database integrations, and space planning and proper stewardship for the organization. He evaluates and triages smarter opportunities to make better data-driven decisions for real estate management. Michel also provides guidance concerning other BIM and data-driven decision opportunities using IWMS-CAFM to support hybrid occupancy, usage and vacancy data analysis for good Real Property stewardship in the current fiscal restraint environment. Michel is a Canadian Army Reserve veteran and continues to volunteer with the regiment and Cadets Canada.
