FM:Systems Launches New Solution Set Centred On Richer Workplace Analytics
On March 9 2020, FM:Systems announced that it is rebranding its product offerings as a Digital Workplace Solutions Suite. This brings together its string of recent acquisitions with its existing IWMS platform, that historically focused on space and workplace management. In July 2019, FM:Systems acquired Rifiniti, which offers best-in-class workplace analytics software. Five months later, FM:Systems acquired the workplace services division of Asure Software, along with its subsidiary OccupEye, a sensor-based utilization analytics solution. FM:Systems has done an impressive job by moving fast to bring these different capabilities under one coherent value proposition.
What’s the substance behind this new move? The new suite includes three offerings, all geared towards better management of workplace activities. The first is FMS:Workplace, delivered by the vendor’s IWMS FM:Interact platform. The second is FMS:Employee, delivered by Asure Software. And the third is FMS:Analytics, delivered by Rifiniti and utilization data from OccupEye.
This rebrand, integration and overall positioning is a strong strategic move. FM:Systems previously updated its value proposition in early 2019, launching standalone solutions for space booking and maintenance management. Whilst this made their deployment options more flexible, the recent rebrand and housing of all products under one roof sends a clear message. This message is that FM:Systems is focusing on helping corporates create workspaces that are functional, agile and safer. This makes sense as the “smart workplace” agenda is moving much faster than the “smart building” agenda taken as a whole, largely due to the fact that the responsibilities and incentives are much clearer – with the tenants responsible for their fit-outs.
