Avetta Launches New Supply Chain Sustainability And ESG Risk Mitigation Solution To Improve Sustainability And ESG Goals

Avetta, a supply chain risk management software vendor, expands its product offering with a new supply chain sustainability and ESG risk mitigation solution on the Avetta One Platform. With the new ESG and sustainability expanded capabilities, Avetta’ solution provides an aggregated view of firms’ ESG status across their entire supply chains.

Poor visibility into supply chains can lead firms to unknowingly contribute to adverse social and environmental impacts. Avetta’s new sustainability and ESG risk mitigation solution includes ESG scores that assess firms’ performance on global standards in 20 industry sectors. Avetta’s ESG index supports the development of data-driven roadmaps to improve supply chain sustainability in key areas such as resource allocation and suppliers’ engagement with ESG goals. Thus, firms obtain comprehensive information on their sustainability performance to support compliance and ESG risk management across value chains.

The launch of Avetta’s new sustainability and ESG risk mitigation solution corresponds well with the increase of global commitments to improve supply chain sustainability (see Verdantix Global Corporate Survey: ESG and Sustainability Governance, Strategies and Priorities). As part of the international efforts on supply chain sustainability, more regulations are defining firms’ responsibility in value chains. Last year, Germany approved the German Supply Chain Act, which obliges firms with suppliers in emerging countries to comply with human rights and environmental standards. More recently, the EU commission laid down rules for European firms to ensure firms’ accountability on adverse social and environmental impacts in supply chains. In this growing regulatory context, Avetta’ sustainability and ESG risk mitigation software enables firms to improve supply chain sustainability from a strategic, regulatory, and corporate responsibility standpoint.
