Corporate sustainability leaders are in the best position to understand how their CEO perceives sustainability and to report on the impact this has on sustainability governance at their firm. This report helps CEOs, CSOs and senior executives to understand how a CEO’s perception of sustainability influences organizational structure for sustainability. Verdantix interviewed 250 sustainability decision-makers at firms with revenues of over $250 million across 13 countries and 21 industries. Verdantix analysis finds that there is a stark difference in the governance of sustainability between firms where the CEO is still grappling with the concept and firms where the CEO is better informed.
