Peter Temesvary is the Safety and Compliance Director at the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD). He is responsible for overseeing aviation, occupational and fire safety, as well as aviation and corporate compliance. BUD has an integrated safety team, where the different safety disciplines share systems (e.g., hazard reporting) and methodologies (e.g., incident investigation, risk assessment), and conduct inspections and audits together. As an active pilot, Peter brings the aviator’s perspective to airport safety management.Prior to working at BUD, Peter spent nearly two decades in EHS consulting, designing and managing contaminated site remediation, conducting due diligence site assessments and compliance audits, and helping clients develop and foster programmes to improve safety awareness and safety culture. He is an avid proponent of Just Culture, actively encouraging its adoption throughout all industries.
