Paul Hicks

Paul is a qualified head of internal audit and works for a multilateral development bank based in Vienna, Austria with a focus on sustainability and wider 'ESG' goals. As a trusted strategic advisor, Paul enjoys delivering innovative internal auditing and establishing and building internal audit as an independent 'third line' reporting to the audit and risk committee. He has extensive experience of implementing enterprise risk management processes to enable greater organisational confidence to take opportunities; protect, create, and sustain value; and to better achieve strategy and objectives. His industry experience is within financial services, advanced manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, real estate, health, legal, government and non-government organisations. Paul also delivers mentoring to aspiring heads of internal audit and is a learning facilitator for the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors - UK and Ireland.
