A distinguished leader with over 20 years of experience in risk and governance, Lorraine has worked across institutional environments in the public and not-for-profit sectors. She currently serves as the inaugural Executive Director of Enterprise Strategic Risk Management (ESRM) at the University of Michigan, where she partners with institutional leadership to navigate complex risks across education, research, and healthcare operations.Since establishing the ESRM program in 2018, Lorraine has architected a strategic risk framework that effectively engages leaders in risk prioritization and mitigation planning. She advances risk intelligence across the institution through her leadership of executive and strategic risk advisory committees, risk analysis facilitation to dissect complex challenges into actionable components, and strategic risk consulting that brings crucial risk perspectives to institutional initiatives and operational efforts.
A University of Michigan alumna with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Lorraine also maintains Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Enterprise Risk Management Fellow designations.
