Samuel Shiroff

Sam Shiroff the Senior Director of Global Sustainability for EnerSys, the industrial technology leader serving the global community with mission-critical stored energy solutions that meet the growing need for energy efficiency, reliability and sustainability.

In prior roles, Sam has been part of the globally renowned Carol Cone on Purpose team supporting sustainability efforts at Fortune 500 companies across an array of sectors. Sam has established ESG/Sustainability departments and built employee and community engagement programs for technology companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, retailers and nonprofit organizations around the world. He built the CSR department at Signet Jewelers, the world’s largest retailer of diamond jewelry, enabling the company to dramatically improve its ESG rankings, publish its first CSR report, scale its award-winning responsible sourcing efforts and be recognized as a member of the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index.

Sam was also a leading member of Edelman’s Business + Social Purpose Practice. He combine over 20 years of international corporate ESG, sustainability, community relations and communication experience with a deep knowledge of carbon finance, energy efficiency and the non-profit world. Sam has an MBA, a BA from Boston College and Was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Frankfurt in Germany. He has CSV accreditation from Harvard Business School, is a LEED GA, is GRI accredited and speaks fluent German.
