Once on-site workers input that they have corrected any issues, either in real-time or asynchronously offline, the remote expert is notified immediately or when internet connectivity is restored. While virtual auditing offers firms savings and faster time to completion, Interaptix’s augmented reality approach provides remote auditors with flexibility and a greater level of detail through the creation of a digital twin of the auditing subject.

With 69% of respondents in the Verdantix operational excellence survey for 2020 noting that COVID-19 had driven investment in augmented reality solutions for remote assistance, use cases such as audits and inspections are set to digitize in the long-term.
