Executive Summary

In January 2017, UL EHS Sustainability, a division of UL, launched the PURE EHS software platform. This is a cloud-hosted solution that aims to provide enterprise-wide functionality for all EHS and sustainability issues across both direct firm-controlled operations and supply chain stakeholders, globally. UL’s PURE platform brings together six configurable modules (health, safety, learning, environment, sustainability, and supply chain) and was created in response to increasing market demand for more integrated offerings that can cater to a greater range of stakeholders from a single centralized platform. The UL PURE platform has been built out from a series of acquisitions and for the first time these capabilities have been integrated into a unified proposition with further product upgrades in the pipeline. Verdantix analysis finds that the UL PURE platform is particularly well suited to four customer usage scenarios.
