Over the course of this time, it has evolved to address risks that have manifested via factors such as alterations to manufacturing processes, advancements in technological capabilities, implementation of regulations, and external liabilities. The function has largely shifted from a pen-and-paper format to a digitized operation, leveraging suites of sensors and modules that allow it to track and diagnose root causes.
