Executive Summary

Verdantix conducted 25 in-depth interviews with buyers and end-users of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) from the 16 vendors profiled in our 2025 commercial buildings CMMS Green Quadrant (see Verdantix Green Quadrant: Commercial Buildings Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) (2025)). Interviewees were senior decision-makers and influencers – from single-campus operators to multinational portfolios – across healthcare, education, retail, hospitality and the public sector. Buyers identified four investment drivers: integration and data unification; the need to manage organizational change and ensure user adoption; service-level agreement (SLA) compliance and vendor oversight; and predictive and proactive maintenance. This report offers practical, evidence-based guidance to help buyers address challenges, prioritize capabilities and align needs with vendor strengths.
