Executive Summary

This report is one in a series of case studies that explore the adoption of EHS technologies at prominent industrial firms. WEC Energy Group identified the need for EHS software to help manage their extensive environmental compliance requirements. With over 70,000 miles of electric distribution lines, 50,000 miles of gas distribution and transmission lines, 7,300 megawatts of power plant capacity, and 4.5 million customers across four states, WEC needed to identify a robust and scalable solution to integrate its environmental data and compliance requirements across its portfolio. WEC leveraged EHS software from Cority Enviance to integrate compliance information across multiple disparate systems to achieve proactive environmental compliance across 200 sites. Additionally, WEC recognized an estimated cost savings of approximately $800,000 per year attributed knowledge-transfer time savings.
