Executive Summary

This report presents the results of 100 telephone interviews conducted between July and September 2024 with key decision-makers in real estate capital projects, encompassing building owners, developers, investors and budget-holders across North America, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Decision-makers in capital projects are facing greater pressure than ever to tackle prominent challenges in the real estate sector, notably, ensuring operational transparency to mitigate risk; digitizing processes to boost ESG metrics; and adjusting procedures to support regulatory compliance. Capital project decision-makers should leverage this report to compare their own firms’ technology strategies and investment plans with market trends. Technology and service providers can benefit from the research to better understand market demand and emerging areas of interest and spending over the short and medium term.
