Executive Summary
This report contains an extract of the Verdantix analysis originally produced in the 2023 edition of the Verdantix Green Quadrant for environment, health and safety (EHS) software (see Verdantix Green Quadrant: EHS Software 2023). To help senior EHS executives identify the best-fit software, this benchmark provides a detailed analysis of capabilities available from assessed vendors across 114 environmental compliance and ESG and sustainability management assessment criteria. This report finds that five software providers — Sphera, Enablon, Cority, Intelex and VelocityEHS— offer the most comprehensive functionality to facilitate environmental compliance and ESG and sustainability management. When shortlisting providers, buyers should be cognisant of offerings that are tailored to industry-specific environmental needs or have a regional focus. Additionally, to maximize customers’ relationships with their chosen supplier, firms should review vendors’ long-term strategic direction and product strategies.
