Executive Summary
This report is intended for EHS executives and is one in a series that explores case studies around the adoption of EHS technologies at prominent industrial firms. Chevron partnered with Accenture to successfully bring its futuristic vision of an industrial crane embedded with AI into the present. Both firms employed the services of Redpoint as the main technology provider, with Trimble and Symeo as supporting technology providers and Accenture playing the role of lead consulting firm. The project successfully improved the risk profile of worker-machine interactions, benefitted site access management, reduced unproductive time and reduced incident response time, all due to the technologies’ location-tracking and proximity-sensing capabilities.
