Working within a fast-expanding events team and working alongside Verdantix’s highly collaborative research and marketing functions, you will be responsible for building and delivering industry leading conference programmes on a global basis.

Your key responsibilities will include researching and identify industry trends, ensuring the quality of Verdantix’ commercial Summit programmes, and designing high impact experience for speakers and delegates. This role reports into our Events Director. 

Experience/Education

  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

 

Skills / Specific Knowledge

  • A proven track record in managing complex commercial programmes both in person and online, generating substantial revenue, delivering on time, within budget and to agreed performance indicators.
  • Strong research, analytical and stakeholder management skills are essential – with experience of liaising with, and influencing, c-suite leaders
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, a strong professional work ethic and strong business acumen
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with high-profile business executives
  • Superior organisational and project management skills, along with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and synthesise information quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to master new subject matter quickly by brining to bear intellectual curiosity and a methodical approach

 

Specific Business Understanding

  • Experience in ESG and sustainability a plus but not essential

 

Additional Requirements

  • World class sense of humour

    IT and marketing automation software experience
  • Understanding of how to use CRM systems and data outputs
  • MS Office suite

 

Main Activities

  • Applying commercial and financial awareness to craft experiences and create programmes that deliver income targets while effectively managing budgets
  • Researching, leading programme development and sourcing industry leading speakers
  • Working with the marketing team to create compelling messaging and assist with the marketing plan 
  • Providing motivation, direction and support to colleagues and external stakeholders to drive the commercial events portfolio
