Senior Analyst - ESG & Sustainability Technologies
Boston or London (Hybrid)
Working with the support of an excellent team of analysts located in the firm’s UK and US offices, the experienced analyst will undertake strategic research focused on ESG & Sustainability. To support our clients, our research analyses how new reporting frameworks, market expectations, and regulations are changing the way corporates can and should use ESG & sustainability solutions and services.
This ESG senior analyst role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to develop thought leadership about the future of technology for ESG reporting and disclosures, risk management, investing, and sustainability performance improvements. Experience / Diploma
- Educated to undergraduate level with a preference for top-tier universities; a relevant post-graduate qualification is a plus
- Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience working for professional services / consulting / analyst firms, technology providers, or sustainability-related consulting organizations
- Experience in conducting technology research and analysis, producing business analysis and modelling, and presenting to clients is a plus
Skills / Specific Knowledge
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and come up with new ideas
- Proven ability to write high quality reports for a business audience
- Quantitative skills and knowledge of Excel to manipulate large data sets and apply basic mathematical concepts
- Familiarity with MS office suite to produce client ready analysis and presentations
- Proven ability to present to workshops composed of senior managers and industry conferences
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and duration
- Perfect written English and fluent spoken English
- World class sense of humour
Main Activities
- Conducting research projects on ESG and sustainability software and services based on the established portfolio of Verdantix methodologies
- Undertaking research interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms, as well as executives at technology vendors
- Building quantitative models to size and forecast ESG technology, data and services markets
- Efficiently writing high-quality research documents in English
- Producing reports on technology vendors based on technology briefings
- Leading and supporting client workshops and consulting projects
- Attending and speaking at Verdantix events and industry conferences
- Developing trusted relationships with clients and senior industry decision makers
- Providing pre-sales support and identify commercial opportunities
- Coaching and leading junior colleagues on research projects
- Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities
- Achieving and maintaining thought leadership and a high profile in the relevant business sector
