A growing body of research has highlighted the risks of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on the environment and human health. Regulatory bodies, particularly in North America and Europe, have expanded the scope of product compliance standards on subsets of PFAS. This puts pressure on firms to gain deeper visibility into their globalized supply chains, as new regulations could cause costly disruptions and parts obsolescence.
