UK firms are working to align with the country’s energy transition goals, despite uncertainty around the national pace of delivery. They are shaping their business cases for new power sources and solutions around the need for operational resilience, exposure to volatile energy costs, decarbonization objectives and rising opportunities from grid flexibility. In particular, businesses are increasing investment in both on- and off-site renewable energy.
