Executive Summary
This report is one in a series of case studies which explore the adoption of operational excellence technologies at prominent industrial firms. JGC, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm specializing in the construction of mega projects with budgets of over $1 billion in the oil and gas sector, sought to reduce CAPEX by digitally transforming its construction execution processes. In 2016 it selected solutions from MODS Management (MODS), an industrial software provider with over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, to enable this process. By transitioning from using paper-based processes to the mobile-accessible MODS Origin software application, JGC was able to boost efficiency and productivity, save many man hours spent on creating permits and work packages, reduce errors, get end-to-end visibility into the construction execution process and forecast future work.
