Executive Summary

This report represents an extract of the Verdantix analysis of the chemicals management capabilities of 23 environment, health and safety (EHS) software vendors. This analysis originally was conducted as part of the recent Green Quadrant assessment process for EHS Software (see Verdantix Green Quadrant EHS Software 2019). To help senior EHS executives identify the best-fit software, this software benchmark provides a detailed analysis of capabilities available from 23 EHS software vendors across 27 assessment criteria for chemicals management. The report finds that two software vendors - Sphera and VelocityEHS - have the broadest and deepest functionalities for integrated EHS and chemicals management. To ensure maximum benefits, buyers should leverage mobile apps to support on-site inventory tracking and look to strengthen data access across EHS, product design and procurement teams.
