The market for maintenance management software is being disrupted by a raft of new entrants and new technology applications that are enabling much smarter approaches to maintenance, such as more optimized schedules and predictive maintenance. Over the past two years, a flurry of energy management software, integrated workplace management system (IWMS) and enterprise asset management vendors have deepened their maintenance capabilities, extending into a market that has traditionally dominated by computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) specialists.
