Executive Summary
Climate‑driven hazards – such as more frequent heatwaves, intensified winter flooding and a rising incidence of natural disasters – provide clear evidence of a changing climate. These events pose material risks to organizations, ranging from exposing workers to severe harm, to major operational disruption. In response, EHS teams have established structured risk management practices designed to minimize the impact of these hazards and strengthen organizational resilience. This report draws on interviews with several EHS leaders, examining their strategies for addressing climate‑related risks and assessing how effective these approaches are at present. Written for EHS decision-makers, it sets out best practices around the climate-related risks that threaten their organizations.
