Makersite Secures €60 Million for AI-Driven Product Lifecycle Intelligence

Makersite, a vendor of product lifecycle intelligence software, has just secured €60 million in Series B funding, co-led by Lightrock and Partech, with support from SE Ventures. This fresh capital will be used to scale its AI-powered platform and 'Makernauts' team, to help manufacturers such as Barco, Cummins, Daikin, Microsoft and Schneider Electric tackle their most pressing challenges.

Verdantix finds that 48% of manufacturers see initiatives to reduce product carbon emissions as the ‘most significant’ driver for investments in their supply chains over the last 12 months. With manufacturers responsible for nearly a fifth of global GHG emissions, the pressure is rising to cut carbon, optimize costs and comply with new regulatory standards – all while fortifying supply chains. According to Makersite, its software is already yielding measurable results: Microsoft used it to trim the carbon footprint of its Surface Pro 10 by up to 28% in two years, and Schneider Electric is now deploying the platform to enhance eco-design across more than 200,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs).

With the recent investment, Makersite plans to:

  • Continue expanding the team, including in product development and sales.

Since August 2024, Makersite has experienced nearly 50% growth in headcount, evolving from a start-up into a scale-up, with over 150 employees. The vendor intends to maintain this momentum, with ongoing recruitment efforts across key functions.

  • Strengthen data infrastructure and technology partnerships.

Makersite is leveraging its recent investment to deepen its data capabilities and expand its ecosystem of technology partners. The platform currently integrates with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as PTC Windchill; design tools such as Ansys and Autodesk, already used by manufacturers; and data sources including Carbon Minds and ecoinvent. Makersite plans to further grow its proprietary data foundation to enhance value for users across industries and build strategic technology partnerships. On 15 July 2025, it announced a collaboration with Siemens to embed its environmental, cost and supply chain risk data directly into Siemens Teamcenter’s PLM software. This integration enables engineers to incorporate sustainability and cost data into product design workflows.

  • Advance product innovation with AI, digital twins and supplier engagement
Makersite is focused on embedding AI throughout its platform to automate processes, accelerate insights and improve data accuracy, narrowing the gap between estimates and actuals. Makersite is also enhancing its digital twin capabilities to ensure interoperability with other technologies, minimizing the need for complex implementations. Another strategic priority is supplier engagement, particularly in support of digital product passport (DPP) compliance, helping manufacturers meet evolving regulatory requirements.
