Following the buyout of the IHS OE & RM software assets by Genstar Capital in June this year, the new management team lead by industry veteran Paul Marushka, President and CEO, have moved at lightning speed to assess the business, shape a go to market strategy and launch the new brand Sphera Solutions. With approximately 550 employees, estimated revenues above $100 million and 10 offices spread across the US, Canada, UK, France and the Netherlands, the standalone Sphera Solutions business has the critical mass to succeed in the EH&S software and product stewardship markets. As an independent business exclusively focused on the EH&S and product stewardship markets, Sphera Solutions has the largest employee base and revenue run rate.
Sphera Solutions has intelligently retained the pre-existing focus on operational excellence as a primary business goal they are seeking to help their customers achieve on a journey from compliance via improved risk management and optimized performance. More importantly, the new leadership team has quickly moved to demystify the product, content and service portfolio on offer. Prior to the spin out from IHS, the solution set was obscured by the much broader parent company’s messaging. The Sphera Solutions portfolio is broken out into operational risk, environmental performance, product stewardship, EH&S consulting services and content services. This no nonsense presentation of products and services on offer speaks directly to buying communities with specific needs.

As we head into 2017, strategic competitors in both the EH&S software market such as Enablon, Gensuite and Intelex as well as high-end product stewardship providers like CGI ProSteward and 3E Company will find themselves in many more head to head competitive situations with Sphera Solutions.
